​Practical training

Practical training is carried out on the basis of a medical college and at the clinical bases of the Ministry of Defense and performs the most important task in training future specialists - forms a system of professional knowledge, skills and competencies, which determines the level of professional qualification of a specialist. The main goal of practical training is to increase the level of professional culture and awareness of professional responsibility for timely and competent provision of qualified medical care.
The organization and conduct of professional practice is carried out in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 29, 2016 No. 107 "Rules for the organization and conduct of professional practice and Rules for determining organizations as practice bases" and the Order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 11, 2012 No. 628 "Regulations on clinical bases", conducted in accordance with contracts No. 93 "Forms of Standard contract for professional practice", approved by the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 28, 2016, "Regulations on the organization and conduct of professional practice of medical college students" approved at the meeting of the UMS "Union of Medical Colleges of Kazakhstan", 27.09.2012. On the basis of these orders, the "Rules for the organization and conduct of professional practice of students of the medical college of the city of Balkhash" were developed and approved.
Professional practice includes:
- educational practice, it is aimed at the formation of students' practical professional skills, the acquisition of initial practical experience. At the beginning of the academic year, a schedule of practical classes in all specialties is compiled. For practical training sessions, the academic group is divided into two and three subgroups. Occupancy in special disciplines provides for the division of groups into subgroups of 8-12 students, in general professional disciplines - no more than 13 people. The duration of practical classes is 4 hours. The training practice takes place both in the offices of preclinical training and in the departments of medical organizations . During the training practice, students, under the guidance of a teacher, work out practical skills, acquire initial practical experience. This type of practice can take place both concentrated and dispersed. There were no disruptions to the schedules of practical classes, all programs and plans were fulfilled.
-industrial training and professional practice is carried out in stages during various periods of study, in accordance with the schedule of the educational process, according to the RUPl at the bases of the Ministry of Defense on the basis of two and three-sided agreements between the college, the enterprise and the student.
Before entering the internship, students undergo a medical examination in the clinical and bacteriological laboratories of the city. In each academic year, a letter of request is drawn up for free medical examination for students under the age of 18 and a 50% discount on payment for students aged 18 and older
Before the start of CP, PO and PP, students are instructed with the participation of a methodological supervisor from the college and general managers from a medical organization. By agreement, at the practice bases, in accordance with the cooperation agreements, general managers are appointed who are responsible for organizing the practice at the appropriate clinical base (hospitals, polyclinics). During the internship period, direct managers (chief, senior nurses of hospitals, polyclinics) are responsible for ensuring the quality of the level of professional competencies. The methodological supervisor is appointed from among the leading teachers of the relevant special disciplines. He ensures the internship, monitors the implementation of the internship program, distributes to workplaces and checks accounting and reporting documentation, together with general and direct supervisors evaluates the results of the internship program, certification of practical skills of students. Practice managers monitor the acquisition of professional skills on a daily basis.

Based on the results of professional practice, each student is given characteristics by direct supervisors (an employee of a medical organization), which are analyzed by methodological supervisors in order to adjust the learning process. Professional practice ends with a credit, which is the first stage of the final state certification of graduates. The test takes place at the bedside of the patient by direct supervisors. All students demonstrated communication skills with the patient and mastery of the technique of performing manipulations. The average score of 4.7 is a quality indicator of 100%.
Contracts have been signed with social partners from among the medical organizations of the city and surrounding areas to undergo industrial training and professional practice. The bases for internship are 11 medical organizations :

The head of practical training monitors the quality of the internship. The Medical College guarantees that the activities carried out by students during the practice correspond to the upcoming professional activity, as it is based on the implementation of the competencies of the SES in the specialty and is close to the real conditions of practical health care. The achievement of the goals and objectives of professional practice is guaranteed by approved practice programs by type in the context of the specialty and agreed with social partners.
In general, based on the results of the survey, the following conclusions can be drawn that employers quite highly appreciate the quality of training of college specialists.
The level of professional training is subject to constant monitoring by the administration and teachers of the college. Every year, at the meetings of the pedagogical council of the college, the methodological council, the cyclic methodological commissions, the issues of preparing students in all sections of practical training are considered.
Monitoring of satisfaction based on the results of the internship is carried out by questioning students and employers.

From year to year, the best students are determined from among the students who demonstrate practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
