Choosing a profession is one of the most important decisions in a person's life in adolescence. There are many professions in this multidisciplinary life. Of course, it is not so easy to make a choice.
The main thing is that a person should be able-bodied, attentive, and his profession should make an important, valuable contribution to the environment in which he grew up. When a person finds joy in work, new forces are invested in him and inspiration for work grows. A great desire, an inspired cause is the way to success.
As our Abai says: "do what you are meant for," it is always better to find your place in life. Am I not mistaken if I say that the most common professions in the world that have not eliminated their requests and interests include medical specialties?!
Currently, college graduates in different parts of Kazakhstan prove that the KGKP "Balkhash Medical College" occupies a leading position in the preparation of high-quality, competitive medical services on the market. Based on the experience of career guidance in college, I pay special attention to the process of socialization of applicants from the 9th grade.
Socialization is the process of mastering by an individual patterns of behavior, psychological attitudes, social norms and values, knowledge and skills that allow him to function successfully in society.
Purposeful professional socialization begins in vocational educational institutions (universities, colleges, etc.) and continues in the workplace. However, the foundation of professional socialization was laid early enough, it can be considered the first labor socialization, the foundations of which were laid at school. In this regard, it is necessary at school to form the value of the correct choice of profession among students, to motivate them to study. I think that it is better to start this trend in adolescence at the age of 12-13 years. Moreover, in conditions of tough socio-economic competition, worsening unemployment, declining incomes, and market globalization, the correct choice of the "trend" of its development is becoming more and more urgent.
Career guidance includes two methods:
informational
diagnostic
The first of these methods involves educational work. Students need to be told what professions there are in the educational institution, what kind of work they offer. It is necessary to reveal the trend towards which professions will lose their importance in the future, which specialties will appear and will be in significant demand.
In the second method, it is necessary to select and conduct a series of tests that will help the teenager make this difficult choice.
Because we believe that our main task is to give a spiritual and material path of development to our youth, who are ready to receive nutrition, which will strengthen and invest in the future!
Career guidance is a process that contributes to the timely formation of a person's readiness for a conscious choice of profession.
The maximum coincidence of a person's subjective desires with the needs of society is the task of the entire career guidance system.
Thus, the system of vocational guidance conducted at school should form a teenager's ability to choose a field of professional activity that optimally corresponds to the characteristics of his personality and the needs of the labor market.
Of particular importance in this case is the question of taking into account the real ideas of senior students about professional activity, about the optimal development of professionally significant qualities, their own capabilities and inclinations.
Career guidance in the educational process should be aimed at activating the internal psychological resources of schoolchildren so that they can fully express themselves in professional activities and realize their vocation. But in this case it is necessary to take into account their individual psychophysiological characteristics.
An important concept in the study of professional orientation is temperament. Temperament is a set of features of the nervous system as a personality that have a physiological basic type and characterize the dynamics of human mental activity.
The successful development of the chosen specialty by the applicant and the ability to bring it from other specialties to the highest level in the form of activities with the highest success depend on his temperament. This situation must be taken into account when career guidance.
The career guidance work of the KGKP "medical College of the city of Balkhash" is aimed at organizing permanent links between schools, educational institutions, medical and preventive institutions and pharmacies of the city and region, developing the interest of applicants in mastering medical specialties and professions, taking into account the individual characteristics of students. This should contribute to the formation of appropriate professional competencies of graduates in the future, improving the quality of their training.
As you know, medicine for many centuries was considered mainly an "art" and was an industry based only on the practical experience and intuition of folk healers. Later, it gradually turned into a complex science, using the achievements of biology, genetics, chemistry, physics and other exact sciences.
Mastering a medical specialty requires general and deep special training. In addition, doctors require special personal qualities, without which it will be very difficult to practice medicine. The role of temperament is also obvious here.
Career guidance work is carried out on the basis of the developed program for the development of the educational services market.
Goals and objectives of career guidance in medical college:
- formation and professional training of students.
- creating conditions for a more complete disclosure of the possibilities of clinical thinking among young people with the involvement of teaching staff and college students in career guidance.
- Studying and forecasting the formation of future college students;
- Promotion of the level of educational activity of the college;
- Creation of a college career guidance system;
- Formation and strengthening of constant communication with schoolchildren;
- Selection and preparation for college of the most talented graduates from among schoolchildren (holding Olympiads).
The management of career guidance work at the college is carried out by the Commission on Career Guidance Work, the composition of which is approved by the order of the director of the college.
Teaching staff of the college in accordance with the plan of career guidance:
* organizes and conducts conversations and meetings with students of educational organizations;
* distributes information materials about the college: references, booklets, etc.;
* participates in the organization and conduct of subject regional, city Olympiads;
* organizes intra-college open days, participates in the organization of trade fairs;
* conducts weeks of professions;
* implements effective methods and means of professional orientation;
* conducts debate tournaments;
* participates in parent-teacher conferences held in schools to inform about the choice of profession.
In turn, it should be noted that for the organization of these events, the college closely cooperates with the secondary schools of our city and settlements located outside the city.
Professional tests of school students in the specialties "Nursing", "Medical care","Laboratory diagnostics","Dentistry" and "Pharmacy" are conducted annually. Traditionally, presentation weeks are held, organized by teachers of general education, general professional and special disciplines. Here, students were able to get the full information they needed about various professions at the presentation of college students.
Taking into account the peculiarities of socialization of each school, various intellectual games, presentations, creative evenings, debate tournaments, contests and events are organized.
In order to determine the best graduate of our college by testing the professional skills of students, they are invited as guests to the large-scale competition "The best College graduate - 2022".
In March of this year, the city competition of future entrepreneurs "Pharmaceutical Business Project" was held for schoolchildren as part of the popularization of the specialty "Pharmacy", the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the KGKP "Medical College of Balkhash", the implementation of the state program "Business Roadmap-2025" and the presentation week of special college disciplines. In the competition, school students and college students competed with each other to protect the best pharmaceutical business projects and the best were determined
.In addition, for the purpose of career guidance "school days", our MasterStar club conducts master classes in educational institutions of our city.
Specially preserved in the memory of students, the sports and intellectual game "squid game in medicine", organized in accordance with the plot of the world-famous film, included interesting tasks related to the profession of medicine and aroused the interest of students.
Teachers and graduates of our college take an active part in the "Fair of Professions", demonstrating their skills in providing emergency first aid for heart failure.
On this wave, career guidance work is carried out in our college, popularizing the importance and advantages of medical specialties, helping graduates to choose correctly not only the place where they will study, but also the living environment.
There are many people in the world who do not want to be professionals, there are many people who love their work with all their soul.
A person comes to his future profession in different ways and in different ways. For someone - the embodiment of a dream conceived by him, the continuation of family traditions, for someone-the desire for novelty, independence, for someone-getting some profession, etc.
